Persona Wars ("the App") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
2. Data We Collect
Data you provide:
- Age group and gender (optional, during onboarding)
- Scenario choices (which options you select)
- Know Me challenge participation
Data collected automatically:
- Anonymous device identifier (SHA-256 hashed, not reversible)
- Country (derived from device locale)
- App usage analytics (via TelemetryDeck, privacy-first, no personal data)
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- Your name, email, or phone number
- Your contacts or photos
- Location data (GPS)
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
4. How We Use Data
- To provide scenario statistics ("X% chose this option")
- To build your personality profile (stored locally on your device)
- To enable Know Me challenges between friends
- To generate AI portraits (age/gender/archetype sent to server, processed by Google Imagen)
- To improve the App experience through anonymized analytics
5. Data Storage
Your personality profile is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. Scenario choices and challenge data are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) with hashed device identifiers. AI portraits are stored in Firebase Storage for 7 days.
6. Third-Party Services
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Storage
- RevenueCat — Subscription management
- TelemetryDeck — Privacy-first analytics (no personal data, no tracking)
- Google Vertex AI (Imagen 4) — AI portrait generation
7. Data Retention
- Scenario choices: retained indefinitely for aggregate statistics
- Know Me challenges: deleted after 7 days
- AI portraits: deleted after 7 days
- Analytics: retained per TelemetryDeck policy (aggregated, non-personal)
8. Your Rights
You can delete all local data by uninstalling the App. To request deletion of server-side data, contact us at the email below.
9. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with an updated date.
